Before I started making tables, I was driving for lyft.  The money was good, and then the pandemic hit. Demand dropped completely. I was out of work and unable to file for unemployment. Most jobs weren't hiring and I began getting desperate, and slowly becoming depressed.

Without a job, and more time in my hands, I got the idea of making a picnic table for my family. I went and bought the tools I needed. 

Two days later table was complete. It looked amazing. I couldn't believe I actually made it. 

I've always been a business man, so what do I do? I take a few pictures, and put it up for sale on facebook marketplace. That same day, I get a very interested buyer, and I find a way to deliver it to him. I get to his house , he loves it, and asks If I can make him a 12 footer. I said, yes let's do it.

I finally found a job at Tesla installing solar roofs, working an average of 10 hours a day, and getting home to work 3-4 hours on tables. It was extremely tiring, but I wanted to grow. There were no more days off or weakends for me. More and more orders were coming in. It was unreal. Coworkers at tesla that saw my tables kept telling me that I was wasting my time there, and that I should make tables fulltime. I knew it was too early to do that, but in 2021, I lost a lot of orders because turn around time was 1-2 months. 

Since I couldn't make the decision to leave, Tesla made it for me.  On April 1st 2022 I got laid off. It was very sudden and very unexpected. Turns out there's a huge supply shortage and they needed to cut a lot of positions. I finally got what I needed, more time to work on tables. 

Orders started coming in, and now I was finishing tables in 3-4 days. It started to get extremely busy, even working 12 hour days and 7 days a week wasn't enough. I needed a helper. My wife was struggling with her job, so I told her to quit, and to help me build tables. And this is where we are now. We work 8am to 6pm 7 days a week. 

I love what I do, and can't see myself doing anything else.
